Sustainability Readiness Level (SRL)

A model for assessing the company's preparedness

Based on the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) model developed by NASA, the SRL indicates a company's progress in addressing sustainability and ESG issues. The model is displayed as a scale with 9 stages. Because it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between each stage, it may be more helpful to view progress as a continuum. Nevertheless, it's convenient to categorize readiness levels in stages for comparison purposes. ​
